Project Type:Business Card

business-card
Simplicity

Yes, my business card is supposed to look as if it were cut from a sheet of notebook paper and written by hand.

I wanted this card to, of course, tell who I am, what I do, and how to contact me. These were my only guidelines. Because this project was for an individual, not a business or firm with a previously established identity, I had complete freedom to create.

Instead of relying on “slick” or complex graphics, I tried to create the simplest card possible. Not only did I try to avoid uneccessary flair, I wanted to subtly remind the reader that I had made this card for them.

The result resembles a slip of notebook paper, with a handwritten message. The front of the card even seems to smile at you, and with an attempt at humor in the copy, maybe you’ll smile back.
